Pattern Shop Studio resident artist Sharon Brown explores the political landscape in America through portraits of President Donald Trump and members of his Administration, both former and current. Each painting is based on a publicly available image of the subject to which Brown applies her eye, her skill and current events to take a deeper look at the people running our country. The works honor the traditions of fine art portraiture and political satire equally. Details added to each highlight the ephemeral nature of words spoken that contradict actions taken. Trumped! is an unabashedly political exhibition and a celebration of our rights to speak out against those who abuse their power.
